Shakata Yoga
Shakata Yoga concerns difficult Jupiter–Moon relationships and Jupiter's position relative to the Ascendant's kendras. The catalogue records three formations and a named cancellation. Read those conditions together before considering traditional themes of changing fortunes.

How Shakata Yoga forms
The three formations place Jupiter sixth, eighth or twelfth from the Moon, while Jupiter is not in the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house from the ascendant. The two references are different and both must be checked.
Shakata-Bhanga is a specific fourth record: Jupiter is twelfth from the Moon, outside the ascendant's kendras, and aspects the sixth house from the ascendant. Do not apply this cancellation to every Shakata placement.
The example has Taurus rising, the Moon in Aries and Jupiter in Virgo. Jupiter is sixth from the Moon but fifth from the ascendant, outside the ascendant's kendras. This illustrates the sixth-from-Moon formulation, not the cancellation.

The theme of changing fortunes
Traditional descriptions connect these placements with fluctuations in resources and difficult circumstances. That explains why Shakata is discussed cautiously in the literature.
It does not establish poverty, illness or rejection in a reader's life. The different sixth, eighth and twelfth positions should not be flattened into an identical forecast.

A specific cancellation
The Shakata-Bhanga entry describes relief from the difficult results and an association with comforts. Its significance lies in its particular combination of placement and aspect.
A useful reading identifies the actual record that matched and checks any relevant cancellation. It does not turn either result into a guarantee.
Traditional interpretations are not guaranteed outcomes; consider the whole birth chart.
