Calculation examples
How is the D45 chart calculated?
Each portion spans 40′. For movable signs, counting starts from Aries; for fixed signs, from Leo; and for dual signs, from Sagittarius. Count forward through the zodiac.
At 11°, the position lies in the seventeenth portion. Aries is movable, so 11° Aries maps to Leo in D45. Taurus is fixed, so 11° Taurus maps to Sagittarius.
The counting starts resemble D16, but the smaller portion size makes the resulting placements different.
Considering the whole indication
The classical description is broad rather than confined to one life area. This calls for a defined question and comparison with the relevant indications in D1.
Sanjay Rath’s interpretive framework associates D45 with paternal inheritance. That is a specifically attributed reading; it is not a reason to present the chart as proof of inherited qualities or to judge a family’s worth.
