Planetary transit search

Search for a moving planet's contact with a natal point, house entry or station. Mạghā searches forward or backward from your selected moment over 30- or 100-year horizons; Android's Advanced transit builder also accepts a date range.

Nila's natal Moon supplies a sign for Aspect and a precise longitude for Transit reaches. One natal Moon · two different search targets

The Moon's natal longitude is 294.2534985548465°, displayed as Capricorn 24.25°. The Aspect query uses Capricorn as its receiving sign; Transit reaches uses that exact Moon longitude. These are search criteria, with no calculated occurrence date.

Aspect · receiving sign

Capricorn · the whole 30° sign

Transit reaches · exact point

Moon · Capricorn 24.25°

Both scales run from 0° to 30° Capricorn. Nila’s exact natal Moon longitude is 294.2534985548465°. These are criteria, with no calculated occurrence date.

An aspect window differs from an exact contact

Aspect in Android's Advanced builder searches sign-based Graha Dṛṣṭi, including Saturn's 3rd/7th/10th or Mars's 4th/7th/8th. Transit reaches instead targets an exact longitude or a Rashi/Nakshatra span; Custom degree accepts your position. For Nila's Moon at Capricorn 24.25°, Aspect targets Capricorn, while an exact contact targets that degree. The diagram compares criteria without assigning dates; their resulting windows need not begin together.

Pick the chart and the kind of occurrence

New Aspect, Transit reaches and Custom degree searches use the selected D1–D300 division for the moving planet too. Targets may be natal or transiting; house geometry and natal Sahams use D1. Station and sign/nakṣatra-change searches also use D1. Legacy natal target retains a D1 moving planet against a possibly divided natal target. Exact directed angle instead measures the second moving planet ahead in 30° steps, distinct from sign-based Aspect.

Read an occurrence before applying its time

Set Next, Previous or Date range, then Find occurrences. Results may be instants or intervals; inspect coverage and continue bounded searches as needed. Choose Open in Transits to apply a selected result, since row selection alone preserves the current sky.

Before you search for a transit date

When will Saturn transit my Moon?

First decide what you mean by the transit: reaching the Moon's natal degree, entering its sign, or casting a selected aspect onto that sign. Choose that condition and search from the moment you want. Your saved chart supplies the Moon's position; the result depends on those choices, rather than a single date shared by every chart.

Can I look for a transit that happened in the past?

Yes. Choose Previous to search backward from the selected transit moment. Android's Date range choice also lets you bound a period. Next and Previous offer 30-year or 100-year horizons; these limit the search and do not guarantee that the condition occurs inside them.

Can a transit return more than one occurrence?

Yes. A planet can reach the same region again during retrograde motion, and a chosen range can contain multiple occurrences. A sign-based aspect can also cover an interval. Read the returned rows and searched coverage, then choose the occurrence whose time you want to open in the transit chart.

How precise is an exact transit time?

The search response contract specifies a numerical tolerance of a quarter of a second. That is a search setting, rather than a guarantee of the returned time. It is separate from ephemeris accuracy, the accuracy of your birth details and any interpretation. The chart's own zodiac and ayanāṁśa choices also define the longitude being searched.
