Lakshmi Yoga
Lakshmi Yoga combines the Ascendant lord's condition with the ninth lord's placement and dignity. Traditional themes include prosperity, learning and recognition. A favourable Venus or Jupiter placement alone does not establish the combination.

How Lakshmi Yoga forms
The ascendant lord must be very strong. The ninth lord must occupy a kendra from the ascendant and be in its own, moolatrikona or exaltation sign.
In the engine, 'very strong' means a Shadbala total above the planet's documented threshold. Sign dignity alone does not stand in for that strength evidence. A chart lacking the required strength data cannot establish the complete formulation.
With Aries rising, Mars rules the ascendant and Jupiter the ninth. The example places Jupiter in Cancer, exalted in the fourth house. It separately assumes Mars has 400 Virupas, above its 300 threshold; that strength assumption is part of the teaching example.

Prosperity and material resources
The traditional description includes substantial resources and land. Those images explain the yoga's association with prosperity in the literature.
They are not financial forecasts. The page demonstrates a combination of lordship, placement, dignity and strength, not a route to a particular level of wealth.

Learning and public distinction
The source also mentions learning and renown, alongside the language of high standing. Its portrait therefore extends beyond possessions alone.
The strength requirement belongs to the formation itself. It should not disappear from the explanation simply because the ninth lord's sign is easier to display.
Traditional interpretations are not guaranteed outcomes; consider the whole birth chart.
