Parivartana Yoga
Parivartana is a mutual exchange: two house lords occupy each other's signs. The catalogue distinguishes Maha, Dainya and Khala exchanges. Their interpretations differ; the shared name does not make every exchange favourable.

How Parivartana Yoga forms
Identify the two planets, the signs they rule and the houses those signs occupy. Confirm that each planet actually occupies the other's sign; a one-way dispositor relationship is not an exchange.
The catalogue contains seven Maha, three Dainya and one Khala formulation. These group exchanges according to the houses involved, with different traditional descriptions. Use the matched record rather than assuming every possible exchange belongs to the same class.
With Aries rising, Mars rules the first house and Venus the second. Mars in Taurus and Venus in Aries exchange their signs. Both chart styles illustrate the first–second house Maha-Parivartana formulation.

The favourable Maha exchanges
The illustrated Maha formulation is associated with wealth, status and the benefits attributed to the houses involved. Its interpretation depends on which pair of houses participates.
The first–second example demonstrates a specific exchange. It should not inherit every result described for every other Maha pairing.

Dainya and Khala are different
The other families carry more mixed or difficult traditional descriptions. An exchange creates a relationship between houses; it does not automatically make that relationship beneficial.
Keeping the family and the actual pair visible avoids a common shortcut: treating every exchange as a Raja Yoga or a promise of prosperity.
Traditional interpretations are not guaranteed outcomes; consider the whole birth chart.
