Ruchaka Yoga
Ruchaka is the Mars-based Pancha Mahapurusha yoga, combining a qualifying angular house with Mars's own or exaltation sign. Traditional accounts emphasize courage and leadership. A generally prominent Mars does not by itself meet the rule.

How Ruchaka Yoga forms
Count houses from the ascendant, or Lagna. Mars must occupy the 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house and be in Aries or Scorpio, its own signs, or Capricorn, its exaltation sign.
Both conditions are required. Mars in Capricorn outside a kendra does not satisfy this formulation. The catalogue also records versions in which conjunction with the Sun or Moon, or weakness of both luminaries, modifies the traditional interpretation.
The example has Aries rising and Mars in Capricorn. Capricorn is the tenth whole-sign house from Aries and Mars is exalted there, so the two charts demonstrate the same combination.

Courage and decisive action
The traditional description emphasises strength, boldness and an appetite for demanding undertakings. Mars gives this account its active character: the capacity to confront an obstacle and take responsibility for action.
These descriptions belong to the text's portrait of the yoga. A chart placement does not establish how courageous someone is or which choices they will make.

Leadership and recognition
The source uses the language of commanders and public distinction. Alongside martial imagery, it mentions discrimination, study and respect for teachers.
The catalogue's additional formulations qualify the expression of this strength. They should be read alongside the basic combination rather than treated as separate promises of fame.
Traditional interpretations are not guaranteed outcomes; consider the whole birth chart.
