How Durudhara Yoga forms
With the Moon's sign counted as the first, at least one qualifying planet must occupy the second and at least one the twelfth. Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn qualify; the Sun and the lunar nodes are excluded from this test.
The two occupied sides distinguish Durudhara from Sunapha or Anapha alone. Fourteen catalogue formulations describe the general arrangement and particular planetary combinations.
The Moon occupies Cancer, Mercury Gemini and Jupiter Leo. Mercury is twelfth from the Moon and Jupiter second. The chart pair uses identical placements, making both sides of the arrangement visible.
Learning and effective speech
The general source description associates Durudhara with recognition through speech, learning, courage and virtuous conduct. These form a combined traditional portrait rather than a test of someone's character.
The planets on each side supply the more specific version. Their individual descriptions should not be collapsed into one universal result.
