Calculation examples
How is the D12 chart calculated?
Each 30° sign is divided into twelve portions of 2°30′. Counting begins from the original sign and moves forward through the zodiac.
The first portion of Aries maps to Aries, the second to Taurus, and so on. Taurus begins its sequence from Taurus. A position at 11° lies in the fifth portion, making 11° Aries Leo in D12 and 11° Taurus Virgo.
The width follows directly from 30° divided by twelve. The calculation diagram shows the sign assignment rather than a full family horoscope.

Parents and family relationships
The classical association with parents gives D12 a focused role in a family reading. It concerns the parental relationship as interpreted through the chart, not a literal record of a family tree.
Care, upbringing and the ways a household passes on its customs provide a human setting for that theme. These experiences vary widely, and a chart does not define what any family must look like.

Look for patterns across the charts and use a reliable birth time. Avoid assigning a fixed character or destiny to a parent from one placement.
