Daily activity planner

Mạghā's daily activity planner groups timing suggestions for six kinds of plans. Check the selected date and place, then compare the suggested windows with the day's Panchanga. These traditional timing assessments support planning without guaranteeing an outcome.

On 12 September 2026 in Bengaluru, Mạghā's marriage tab rated 12:15 to 12:40 best and ruled out 13:46 to 15:17 despite two good signs.Marriage windows · 12 September 2026

Abhijit Muhūrta from 11:51 to 12:40 and a Moon horā from 12:15 made 12:15 to 12:40 best, with good stretches either side and a fair one from 13:16. From 13:46 a Lābh choghaḍiyā and then a Jupiter horā both suited marriage, but Yamagaṇḍa made the planner rate the stretch avoid until 15:17, after which an Amṛt choghaḍiyā made it good until 16:48.

One avoid window outweighs every good sign

The planner splits the day at every relevant change. Rāhu Kālam, Yamagaṇḍa, Gulika Kālam, Durmuhūrta, Varjyam and Viṣṭi exclude a stretch; marriage and house entry also exclude Pañcaka. Other stretches earn reasons from suitable horā, choghaḍiyā, muhūrta and special yoga. Three reasons, or two including a muhūrta/yoga, mean best; fewer mean good; none means fair. An avoid window overrides them all, as Yamagaṇḍa does despite favorable marriage indicators after 13:46 in the sample.

Each plan looks for its own planets and periods

Marriage and house entry share one list: Venus, Jupiter and Moon horās, and Godhūli Muhūrta at dusk as well as Abhijit. Signing a deal looks for Mercury, Jupiter or Venus, a new beginning for Jupiter, Mercury, the Sun or Venus, and medicine for the Sun, Moon, Mercury or Jupiter. Travel credits Mercury, Venus, Moon and Jupiter. All six count Amṛt, Śubh and Lābh choghaḍiyās, and travel alone adds Chal, the moving one.

These follow common muhūrta pairings, such as Venus for marriage, Mercury for trade and the Moon for journeys, though sources differ in detail. Travel also names Diśā Śūla, the direction almanacs advise against setting out in on each weekday: east on a Saturday. Mạghā shows it as a direction caution, “not a time prohibition”, so it never changes a grade.

Three recommended windows

Activity time windows covers travel, deals, house entry, medicine, new beginnings and marriage. It grades the day to midnight, lists three recommended windows with up to four reasons each, and shows four avoid windows; the timeline includes the rest. Travel labels the Abhijit span Vijaya Muhurta.

Note: these are general place-and-activity grades. They do not use a birth chart or check every condition for a wedding or house-entry date.

Five blocks for six activities

Day quality by activity rates travel, business, medicine, ceremony, property and education in three-hour blocks from 06:00 to 21:00. A block is Avoid if excluded intervals total at least an hour; otherwise averaged grades give Best, Good or Fair.

The planner grades hours, not dates: apart from Pañchaka and the special yogas, it does not weigh the tithi or nakṣatra for the plan. To test one important moment in full, use Muhūrta.

Questions about today's auspicious time

What is the auspicious time today?

It depends on your city and your plan. Rāhu Kālam, horās and choghaḍiyās all start from local sunrise and sunset, so the windows move with place and date. Choose your city on Mạghā's Pañchāṅga page and pick a tab in Activity time windows. In Bengaluru on 12 September 2026, the marriage tab rated 12:15 to 12:40 best: Abhijit Muhūrta during a Moon horā.

Is today a good day for griha pravesh?

The planner answers a narrower question: which hours of the chosen day suit the move. Its Griha Pravesha tab also excludes Pañchaka. Almanacs such as Drik Panchang first screen the date by lunar month, tithi, weekday and nakṣatra, which the planner does not do, so settle the date first, then use the tab to choose the hour.

What is Diśā Śūla?

Diśā Śūla is the direction almanacs advise against setting out in on each weekday: east on Monday and Saturday, north on Tuesday and Wednesday, south on Thursday, and west on Friday and Sunday. Mạghā's travel tab names it, for example “Disha Shula faces East” on a Saturday, and adds it to each travel window as a caution without changing the grade.

What is Pañchaka, and does it rule out a wedding?

Pañchaka (panchak) is the stretch when the Moon passes from the second half of Dhaniṣṭhā to the end of Revatī, about five days each month. North Indian almanacs avoid it for weddings, house entry, roofing and journeys south, though their lists differ. Mạghā rules it out for marriage, house entry, ceremonies and property, not for travel, signing, medicine or a new beginning.
